This blog talks about interrelations of homeopathy and holistic ways of healing with the world beyond medicine, with spirituality, science and politics. The homeopathic way of thinking and questioning about problems, crises and solutions is extended to encompass more than issues of individual health. During two hundred years of work with crises and suffering we have developed a holistic way of looking at contexts and a specific way of listening, which may prove to be very helpful in collective contexts as well. In a loose series of articles I wish to show this by different current issues. Recent research on the so-called „memory of water“ and on nanostructures of dissolved substances clearly proves the fundamental possibility of information transfer by potentized substances in physical and biological conditions.
The conference "New Horizons in Water Science - The Evidence for Homeopathy?" with the participation of two Nobel Laureates (Cambridge Professor Emeritus Brian Josephson, Physics, and the discoverer of the AIDS virus Dr. Luc Montagnier) at the Royal Socienty of Medicine on 14 July 2018 in London showed a broad spectrum of international research on this topic. The researchers explicitly attached importance to supporting the claims of homeopathy principally and on a strictly scientific basis.
Thus - at least from a current scientific point of view - the assumption that potentized substances, as they are used in homeopathy and other alternative medical procedures, could not have a scientifically tangible effect, is finally off the table.
On the contrary, the results of this research seem in part to even go beyond the ambitious ideas of alternative physicians of the possibilities of cells and complex molecules for information transfer.
By proving the fundamental possibility of an effect, it is of course not yet proven that and under whatever conditions it takes place. Further research is still outstanding here. But a first step has been taken and a number of renowned scientists are involved in the further development of these approaches.
